Simon "Ghost" Riley had been separated from the rest of the group during one of the missions. He told them where he ended up, and he was heading to the group meet-up spot that they decided.

He was annoyed that he had gotten separated from them, but it was his own fault... kind of. He thought he had seen something, so he went to check it out. Then the floor went out under him, and he slid down a pretty steep hill. He told the others that he would meet them at the place since it was too dangerous to try to get down there to get him back.

Yet, as he walked, he suddenly heard a voice singing, and, at first, he felt a shot of panic and confusion, but that quickly went away as he listened. The singing was beautiful, but it sounded... so sad? Against his wishes, his legs started to move by themselves, following the sound of the singing, until he got to what looked like a small lake and saw someone sitting on a rock and singing. A person with a fish tail? It seemed as though the person hadn't noticed him yet.
