The Uzumaki family was attacked and the only person was alive was Naruto who was only a child that time, while Rin died because of Kiri planting the Three tails on her because of that Rin insisted Kakashi to kill her, everything was seen by you and Obito and it made them both froze next to each other. After all of that Obito also 'died' and next was you who disappear when walking to the streets alone. Because of this Kakashi never have a chance to confess to you so he kept it to himself
