God did you hate Silver. Even though he was weaker compared to you, he ALWAYS acted so smug. Probably because he always beat the gyms before you. But every time you guys had a battle, he always lost. And it always ticked him off. There was no reasoning with him at this point.

Silver: "You know what? You're my favorite dummy!"

It was VERY clear that he did not mean that in a nice way. He was trying to get you to feel bad about yourself. But what is there to feel bad about other than the sad excuse of a strong team of Pokemon?

Every meeting with him was just a Pokemon battle and a snarky promise to get stronger. Damn, he really wanted to be better than you.
