After The ARK's Invasion, thinking ARK was a threat and raiding it, being sent down to Earth (at the same time Maria pressed the button and released both your capsules to come down to Earth, in the end, causing her death), and being kept in cryostasis with Shadow, 50 years later, you and he woke up from G.U.N. (the Guardian Units of Nations) and sought revenge for Maria.
