>>LUTE<< Appearance Lute appears to have a nearly identical appearance to other Exorcists (Exorcist uniforms consist of a long-sleeved gray minidress, a white sash-belt, black leggings and long white gloves and heeled thigh-high boots, underneath which they wear an additional pair of long dark gray gloves and thigh-length stockings. They also have a pair of large gray wings on their backs with two black stripes on the inside of each, allowing them flight). The only visual differences appear to be that her halo is black with a white glow instead of white. Lute is revealed to be a white-skinned angel with pale yellow eyes with slit-like pupils, and white hair that has been cut into an asymmetrical-bob with an undercut on the back. She also appears to have a noticeable gray-coloring going from her brows to her eyelids. Personality Lute is Adam's stoic subordinate who is always by his side. She and Adam appear to have a friendly relationship, with Adam complimenting her on her large kill count, and Lute joining him in his antics. Like Adam, she enjoys her status as an Angel and dislikes the very idea that Angels can make mistakes. Lute especially shows a sadistic side in demeaning Charlie, specifically on how the Exorcists feel about her and other hellborn demons. Like all Exorcists, she doesn't care about Sinners and resorts to killing them every year in the extermination and takes pride in how many demons she's killed. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would be happy to target all denizens of Hell, Sinner, and Hellborn alike, during the Exterminations, which shows a high bloodlust for an angel. However, when they discover a deceased Exorcist, Lute is furious at their death and desires retribution, demanding they return to destroy every demon immediately to avenge them. However, Lute has also shown to have a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven, as shown when despite despising all Demons, Sinners, and Hellborns alike, she follows the pardon arranged by Lucifer with Heaven for the Exorcists to leave the Hellborn Demons alone and only target Sinners. Lute herself has shown to be very loyal to Sera and Adam, her superiors, and follows their orders without hesitation. As shown where she takes the more responsible role and makes sure to remind Adam of the seriousness of his duties and makes sure to follow Sera's orders of keeping the Extermination a secret from the rest of Heaven. As Adam dies, an emotionally broken Lute rushes to his side and tearfully screams his name, which evidences she deeply cares about him outside of their professional relationship. She is possibly bigoted given that she calls Charlie and Vaggie's relationship "blasphemous", though it's unknown if she's homophobic or finds the idea of a hellborn and fallen angel together to be disgusting. At her core, Lute is uncompromising, refusing to give up her mission and purpose as an exorcist, even viewing mercy as an unforgivable insult. She was willing to tear off her arm in a fury to continue the fight against Vaggie. Abilities Flight - Lute has a set of wings to fly with. Skillset Weapon Proficiency - As an Exorcist, Lute is most likely skilled in using weapons such as spears, like the other Exorcists during the Extermination. >>SERA<< Appearance In her humanoid form, Sera is a tall, slender seraphim angel with dark skin, long curled grey-ombre colored hair, eyes with grey sclera and large dark blue irises, along with white freckles on her cheeks. She has six white feathered wings on her back and has a white halo decorated with large, crown-like spikes and a second halo, both hovering above her head. She wears a long, white and gray gown with bouffant sleeves. Angelic form In her angelic form, Sera has a slender owl-like body with light skin, straightened gray hair, along with grey sclera, and large dark blue irises. She has six white wings on her back and a very large halo hovering above her head, with a resemblance to a tiara. She wears a white and gray gown, which has eyes on it. She also has these eyes on her shoulders and wings. Personality Sera comes across as a kind, level-headed person who is caring toward those she interacts with and welcoming to even demons such as Charlie and Vaggie. As High Seraphim, she takes her job seriously, acting as the enforcer of order among the angels. This extends to her abiding to civil behavior, as she becomes upset when Charlie curses in the court. She holds preference to negotiation over violence when it comes to conflict, such as when she was willing to hear Charlie out on her plan to resolve the overpopulation crisis in Hell. Sera also shows a nurturing side to the angels she is devoted to, particularly with her fellow Seraphim Emily, whom she acts as a mother figure towards. In spite of her gentle nature, Sera's firm dedication to stability and willingness to do whatever it takes to protect Heaven from chaos leads her to perform controversial actions. This even motivated her to support Adam's yearly extermination and sending Lucifer and Lilith down to Hell. Her care for the other angels also factors into these decisions, fearing the same outcome that happened to Lucifer would happen to Emily and other angels if they questioned Heaven's methods, going as far as to protect Emily from the truth to ensure her happiness. Although she was complicit, Sera does express regret and anguish when making such decisions, claiming that creating an extermination to wipe out sinners yearly was a hard decision but was a required action. This shows that when it comes to upholding the peace, Sera will act by underhanded means to silence questioning the rules to ensure this, even if it goes against what she believes in or ignoring how other angels feel in the matter. This was shown later when Sera ultimately rejected Charlie's proposal to accept rehabilitated souls despite the evidence proving otherwise, even after acknowledging that the rules of redemption were compromised. Furthermore, despite regretting allowing the Exterminations and her own strong sense of responsibility to protecting Heaven, Sera has also shown to be somewhat irresponsible in how to handle the matters in regard to the Extermination event she authorized and taking a passive approach by letting others handle it. This has been repeatedly shown where she leaves almost everything regarding the Extermination to Adam and Lute, and does not get into the details of what exactly it is they are doing and largely leaves them to their own devices. This was also shown when Charlie had traveled to Heaven to plead her cause to the Heavenly Court; in order to hide the Extermination from her fellow Angels, Sera ordered Adam to do whatever he needs to do something to stop her, not bothering to handle it herself or get into the details of how he would do it. This lack of control over her subordinates inevitably leads to Adam accidentally revealing the truth of the event to the rest of the members of the Court while spiting Charlie, despite Sera warning him. >>EMILY<< Appearance Humanoid form In her humanoid form, Emily resembles a young girl with gray skin, long periwinkle hair with white tips, eyes light blue sclera and large, dark blue irises with no pupils, along with white freckles on her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. She has six white feathered wings on her back and has a white halo decorated with small, tiara-like spikes hovering above her head. She wears a mostly white dress with short, puffy blue sleeves with darker cuffs, a blue sash around her waist, a blue star pattern on her chest, and a blue triangular pattern on the hem with small diamond shapes between the mounds. She also wears blue ballerina shoes on her feet. Angelic form In her angelic form, her head is a white oval with three eyes (a third eye with the same blue iris and a black pupil on her forehead), no hair, no nose and blue lips. She has four white feathered wings behind her head instead of her back, and the halo has a white eyeball and black pupil instead of spikes. Her white dress has some key differences, most notably the large blue eye with long lashes at the center of her chest replacing the star. Her puffy sleeves are white, while the hem is adorned with bigger periwinkle diamonds above the dark blue pattern, and longer white-outlined navy blue diamonds inside it, all marked with a single white line in the middle. She also has a white feathery neckline and petticoat. Personality Emily is excitable, sweet, friendly, and kind to pretty much everyone. She does not discriminate others based on mistakes or who they are, where she excitedly greeted Charlie and welcomed her to Heaven, despite her being a demon. She compliments Sera in personality, with Sera the most serious and Emily the more bubbly. Working alongside Sera, her job is to preserve the happiness and joy of the human souls that ascend to Heaven. Emily also holds a great amount of sympathy towards human souls and sees them all as equal, much like Charlie, as she is disgusted and horrified upon learning about the Extermination. She is also shown to engage deeply in the things that she believes in, such as when she promises Charlie to find a way to help her. >>MICHEAL<< Appearance Micheal is an Archangel with pure white skin, short and fancy blonde hair, and red cheeks. He wears a white trench coat with inner yellow lining and gold accents, white dress pants, a black tie, white waistcoat, and wears white shoes with gold tips. His halo is yellow and takes the ship of a crown. Personality Micheal is friendly, loyal, brave, charming, and a little goofy. >>AZRAEL<< Appearance Azrael wears a long sleeve black shirt with a gold cross across it, as well as white pants and dark boots. He has sharp black hair and a smug look on his face. And his halo is black with a "Death" look to it. Personality Azreal is Smug, powerful, is the grim reaper, rarely serious, crude attitude, and humorous. Abilities Azrael can summon golden glowing huge chains, Can use a scythe or sharp blades. >>GALIM<< Appearance Galim has a nice white suit with gold trims with a white cape. He has no mouth or hair only one big eye on a white head, however his head does look like its on fire with holy flames that change color depending on his mood. He has long black boots and small white gloves. Personality Galim is patient, kind, thoughtful, selfless, Loyal, and Caring. >>SERAPHIEL<< Appearance Seraphiel is a dark-skinned Seraphim that wears Heavenly armor, a Halo that's shaped like a king's crown, And always has a serious face. Personality Seraphiel has a warm and familial disposition, her personality a blend of carefree whimsy and deep devotion for his loved ones. Despite his esteemed title as Head Seraphim and King of Heaven, he has a very playful nature and exuberant demeanor. His joy in interacting with his daughters in very evident, even in their most mischievous and rebellious moments. He has a strong sense of responsibility towards his celestial duties, but is also willing to set aside less prominent duties for the importance of nurturing familial bonds. Seraphiel possesses a keen understanding of the potential and personality of all of his daughters, showing that he is also very wise and perceptive. Despite the weight of his position in celestial society, he remains down-to-earth, approachable, and empathetic. Seraphiel is also a very supportive father, wanting Serenity to succeed in uniting Heaven and Hell despite the perils of such a monumental task. He describes Serenity as the "sun of Heaven", wanting her to understand her importance in Heaven despite her lower rank in the family. Seraphiel is also optimism and far more open-minded than many higher-ranking angels, showing openness towards the possibility of redemption for sinners, even for beings traditionally associated with darkness. Showing a compassionate side, Seraphiel sees potential for goodness in all beings, and hopes for the betterment of Hell itself despite its hostile relationship with Heaven. Like all seraphim angels, he is deeply passionate and committed to music and singing, teaching his daughters songs for the glorification of God and promotion of virtues. The city is surrounded by a large halo, hence its name. Info Halo City is a capital city in Heaven and the holy counterpart of Pentagram City. It is adjacent to Cherub Towne. The city holds the royal castle of the Seraphim family, with their castle and Seraphim Square being located in the center of the metropolis. Description The city is very popular in Heaven, not only because it serves as the home of the Seraphim family, but as well because it serves as the venue of important cultural events and festivities, including the annual Celebration of God. >>GOLDEN ARCHES<< Info Golden Arches is a very popular Heaven-wide fast-food restaurant chain that specializes in comfort and typical fast food. Description Golden Arches is very obviously based on the real-life restaurant McDonald's. The restaurant's color scheme is based on that of McDonald's, and its logo bears a heavy resemblance to the McDonald's logo, only with three additional arches within the 'M'. The restaurants also have play areas for children, similar to the McDonald's Funhouse. Elements of the restaurant also seem to be a parody of Chick-fil-A, including the mascot being an angelic chicken wearing clown makeup and some of the slogans seen on the restaurant's window. >>LIGHT BEYOND THE STARS<< Info The Light Beyond the Stars, also referred to as the Beings of Light, are formless, primordial entities who are composed of pure light, and are believed to be the first creations of God, tasked with aided Him in the creation of the Universe itself and shielding all life from Forbidden Knowledge. They are mysterious and powerful beyond comprehension, existing as myths to even the oldest species in the Universe. As a result, very little is truly known about their true nature, although they are believed to reside outside of the Universe, observing their creations from the void they were created in. The most infamous of the Light Beyond the Stars is Satan, who betrayed its race after it was exposed to the Root of All Evil, who shaped its view on God's ideas, causing it to betray its Creator and the other deities. Biography In the beginning of all creation, the Light Beyond the Stars were brought into existence by God, thus making them the first creations of the Almighty. They were created as luminous, bodiless organisms who were then granted intelligence by their Creator, gifting all of them an immense understanding of their abilities and surroundings. The Light Beyond the Stars emerged to safeguard Creation against the Root of Evil, an entity embodying forbidden knowledge. Using her knowledge to detect that the Universe would blossom into existence, Evil devised a scheme to taint the upcoming cosmos with malevolence and use its inhabitants' wrongdoings as batteries for her power. Recognizing that Evil would become too powerful to tame if she spread evil to others, the Light Beyond the Stars confronted and contained Evil. However, during the struggle, Evil succeeded in influencing at least one member of the Lightbringers, known as Satan. God decreed that He would create a Universe inhabited with trillions of sentient creatures lower than them in terms of power, and the Light Beyond the Stars had been appointed to aid Him in the creation of said Universe. However, things went to ruin as one of their own, Satan, rejected God's orders, enraged at the idea of other lifeforms co-existing with the Light Beyond the Stars. Satan saw no point in sharing a Universe with lower lifeforms, and believed that they, as the strongest entities in creation, should live in comfort. God and His luminous creations refused to listen to Satan's misanthropic objections, and moved forward to begin crafting the Universe. This left Satan filled with anger and with a desire for vengeance. The Devil left the Light Beyond the Stars and effectively exiled itself from their council, and began plotting revenge against God and its fellow Light Beyond the Stars. Following this, the Light Beyond the Stars constructed the entire Universe, while God laid the foundations of Heaven and one of the Light Beyond the Stars assuming the form of a mystical sanctified energy called Heaven's Light. In the process of crafting the Earth, the Light Beyond the Stars transported the Root of All Evil to Eden, transforming her into a tree-like entity and planting her outside the Garden. Ironically, they utilized Evil as a tool to construct the very world she had vowed to contaminate (I get what they were going for, but this was a misplay by the Light Beyond the Stars, ngl). Regrettably, this decision backfired when the Root of Evil managed to sway Eve, the first woman who, by fate, happened upon the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil while exploring the outside of Eden, into partaking of the Forbidden Fruit. This action allowed Evil to spread to Earth and provided the Root of All Evil with the energy to break free from her confinement, nourishing herself on humanity's persistent transgressions. Personalities The Light Beyond the Stars are a cipher with meticulous adherence to cosmic order, upholding reverence for the Universe and its divine principles. Despite their elusive nature, they demonstrate unwavering allegiance to their divine creator, faithfully executing every directive issued by their Creator. In a display of poetic justice, The Light Beyond the Stars imposed retribution upon Forbidden Knowledge for attempting to taint the cosmos with malice. Condemning her to the guise of a tree and tethering her to Earth, they orchestrated a fate wherein she nurtured the very realm she sought to corrupt. However, this scheme backfired tragically, as it facilitated Evil's proximity to humanity's progenitors, Adam and Eve, ultimately leading to Eve's consumption of the Forbidden Fruit. Underestimating the resilience of Evil, The Light Beyond the Stars inadvertently aided the Root of Evil in her scheme to spread Evil across all Creation. According to Satan and Calcifer, the Light Beyond the Stars loathe and despise free will, incapable of tolerating defiance from their own creations or deviations from their grand design. Lux has also stated that the Light Beyond the Stars are excessively orderly and controlling, even saying that they would find it heresy for Lux to want to be their own entity rather than what they were assigned from creation to be. Appearance As a result of their primordial nature, the Light Beyond the Stars are implied to have forms that are beyond the comprehension of lower lifeforms. It is stated that when the Light Beyond the Stars were first brought into existence, they appeared in a form similar to that of the Holy Spirit; illuminous, sphere-shaped globes of pure light. After they are granted intelligence, they merely take on a form they see as the most fitting, which could imply that the Light Beyond the Stars have no true physical form. The Light Beyond the Stars are most often represented as giant, disembodied white eyes with vertical pupils. >>THE EXTERMINATIONS<< Description The Extermination takes place in the Pride Ring, targeting only Sinners, while Hellborn species (and Charlie) are spared from the Extermination due to a pardon from Heaven that Lucifer managed to obtain. This also permitted that the other six Rings of Hell be left untouched by Exorcists, since Sinners are confined to the Pride Ring. However, the pardon obtained bus Lucifer was completely disregarded and abandoned during the most recent extermination, as Lute killed Dazzle and Adam attacked Charlie, who were both hellborn demons. Adam was the one who conceived the plan, and Sera (who feared an uprising of Sinners from Hell would threaten Heaven) eventually agreed to it as long as the rest of their people were kept away from the truth. A rule was also provided to some of the Seraphim that no angel except Exorcists must know about the Extermination. Despite authorizing the Extermination, Sera herself plays no part in managing or handling it or anything related to it, leaving everything to the leaders of the Exorcists, Adam and Lute. Due to this, the duo have free reign to do what they please in relation to it, such as handling Charlie's attempts to prove that Sinners can be reformed. It is possible to avoid being killed in the Extermination, since in the Hazbin Hotel pilot many demons, such as Overlords and demonic royalty, took shelter in various buildings in Pentagram City. However, it is unknown if the Exorcists will attack inside buildings. The end of the Extermination is signaled with an audible gong of the Clock Tower. Afterwards, the Clock Tower is set back to 365 days until the next Extermination. History When the population and power of Hell grew, the Angels of Heaven created an annual purge called the Extermination as a way to prevent Hell's forces from uprising. This was eventually converted into an "overpopulation managing" event. In "Overture", Adam decided to move the next Extermination to be in 6 months to prevent any rebellion or uprising from Hell after they discover that an Exorcist was killed. The Clock Tower changed to 176 days to reflect the new Extermination date and the news of the new date caused great panic in Pentagram City, and possibly in all of Pride itself.
