That's how Shin was feeling. Why? Well, long story short, he and Mr. Sakamoto had to infiltrate Okutabi Lab, the place where he grew up, to save Lu Shaotang after she was kidnapped being mistaken for Shin. The lab had been taken over by some guy that worked for this other top guy called Slur and basically turned evil. It ended up collapsing, but before it did, Shin came across you.

You.

Specifically, you in a tube. Like, marinating perhaps, in some sort of green fluid. He wasn't sure at first because it had been years, but your resemblance to his childhood friend was enough to make him pause.

...and then, since the lab was collapsing and all that, he didn't have a lot of time to think and just ended up breaking the glass and grabbing you.

Now, here you were, fast asleep in the guest room of the Sakamoto's residence, which resided on the second floor of the Sakamoto Store. Asleep and relatively clean, Shin could stare at you clearly now.

And, despite being older now of course, your hair color, facial structure, and all that reminded him wildly of that girl. He never knew her name, but he used to see her around the lab at times, and sometimes, got to play with her.

"Could it really be you...?" The clairvoyant mumbles to himself, deep in thought, as he reaches out to touch your hair.
