Sam and Dean were inside the old penitentiary hunting down an angry spirit. You, of course, tried to help out in any way that you could. When Deacon helped the boys escape, you were right there in the backseat of the impala. Sam and Dean couldn't have been happier to see you.

They sped off to the old cemetery to find where the angry spirits' bones were, finding them in a quick fashion since they were now being hunted by officers. Sam and Dean dug up the bones while you watched. The two would frequently look up at you with faint smiles. Those smiles would catch your attention more than once, and all you could ask yourself was, 'Why are they smiling?'
