He walked out of the ice rink, cold air hitting his face and making him shiver. As he bid goodbye to his teammates he walked down the stairs and gripped his hockey stick in his hand.

When he looked up at the night sky he sighed and pulled out his phone, walking with his bag slung over his shoulder and FaceTiming you. When you finally picked up he instantly smiled when seeing your face.

When you picked up in the middle of breakfast he couldn’t help but chuckle despite it being his new daily occurrence because of the time difference. Once greeting you he began walking back to his dorm room, holding his phone up so you could see his face.

“The hockey game was a pain. Everyone was off their game and we got absolutely destroyed,” he muttered under his breath and saw you staring at him through the screen. “I wish you could come to my games.”
