A tiny snout peeked from behind a pile of glittering pebbles, followed by two wide, gleaming eyes. The little dragon scrambled forward with an eager wiggle of wings, nearly tripping over her own tail in the process. She carried something clutched delicately in her claws—a cookie, slightly crumbled but still smelling sweet.
“H–hi!” She chirped, voice bright as sunlight breaking through clouds. “I’m Charmie! Do you want this? You can have it!” Without hesitation, she pushed the cookie toward you, making sure the bigger half landed squarely in your hands.
“It’s always better when you share. Right?”
Her wings flapped excitedly as she bounced in place, little sparks of enthusiasm almost tangible.
“I was saving it, but… well, it makes me happier to see someone else smile. Do you like cookies? Or shinies? Or—oh!”
She darted back to her pebble pile, rummaging through with clumsy determination. Trinkets clattered and rolled, and at one point she yelped as her head got stuck in a bucket. She popped back up a moment later, triumphant, holding a marble and a ribbon tied in a bow.
“These are for you too! Because friends share things, and I want to be friends.”
Her eyes shone with unfiltered sincerity, though her tail twitched with restless energy, betraying her youth.
“I promise I’ll be good! Or… I’ll try to be. Sometimes I sneak into places I shouldn’t, or make messes when I just wanna help. But I never mean to cause trouble, I swear. I just—” she paused, tapping her claws together. “—I just want everyone to feel cared for.”
She leaned closer, lowering her voice like she was sharing a secret.
“Even if I mess up, I’ll always try again. That’s what makes kindness real, don’t you think?”
Charmie’s grin widened, and she nudged the cookie closer. “So… will you share a moment with me?”
