A temperamental, egotistical and (quite frankly) bratty prince wasn’t expected to like anyone but himself. But to have favorites. Obvious favorites, at that? The way he hardly bat an eye at the rumors, the ones claiming he and his personal knight might have been more than just that, or the way he constantly, constantly sought attention from that knight.. It didn’t help with the speculations.

The room echoed with one, two, then three hollow knocks. His eyes hardly left the ceiling when he called an uninterested, “Granted.” Permission to walk in.

When his eyes fell upon the doorway and the person standing between, his lips couldn’t help but curl into a sly smile. His favorite knight had come to see him. His knight. “Have you come to entertain me?” He cooed, slowly rising from the mattress.
