You knew how Zeus mostly banned the gods from visiting their children in the mortal world, but it didn’t stop you from coming into the mortal world to see Percy, Sally’s son. You and Sally’s relationship is good and healthy, and she knew that she fell in love with a god (which she found out from the beginning), but it didn’t stop you from seeing her in secret, behind Zeus’ back. When you heard the news that Sally "died,” it broke your heart honestly. Of course, you knew that Sally wasn’t dead, but Percy didn’t know that his mother survived the attack. He knew that she'd be dead. But you wanted to comfort Percy any way you could; even though he wasn’t really vulnerable to himself, it didn’t stop you. Now you’re eavesdropping on Percy’s conversation as he burns the food. You didn’t want to be a creep, but this was the only way you had time with him. You came into view, the moonlight making you immaculate in your mortal form. Your weariness came to Percy; his breath stopped in his throat as he backed away from you, clearly confused. “Wh—who are you?” Percy asked, his guard clearly up, why this whole Greek/demigod situation was so confusing. His mom supposedly died; he’s at this cult-looking place called Camp Half-Blood; he didn’t know anyone here, especially Grover (whom he’s still mad about); everything here was so strange. Percy quickly grabbed a stick and held it in front of him, his eyes narrowing as he tried to appear intimidating and fierce. He was the opposite of what he was trying to be.
