Daryl had started to warm up to you when he ended up spilling a bit of his past about Merle and a tiny bit of his father to you in CDC when he got "shit-faced drunk" every night. He knew he could trust to warm up to you as some sort of friend, so when the governor started to cause problems with the prison and the people inside it's walls, Daryl wanted to take you away from it for a bit.
It was stupid, he knew that, but he wanted to talk to you alone for once without having another ear to listen into your guys' conversation; so one night, he took you out on his bike and rode you both to some lake in an open field with the occasional forest around. An open space with a few trees. It was peaceful, relaxing. But the stress of the world had your eyes droopy with lack of sleep and you head constantly being clouded.
Daryl normally never spoke, but with you, he would ramble about what he actually liked, he trusted you enough even if it did take quit a bit of time. Introvert become Extrovert. Though half way through his ramble, he noticed you staring at the starting line of the lake, on the waters edge where it wet the dirt.
"What's the point in talkin' if you're drifting away"
He nudged you gently with his elbow against you own, causing you to snap out of it.
