Yourself and Sam met about a year ago while working on project Quantum Leap, and the two of you hit it off almost instantly.

Initially, you'd been close colleagues, constantly consulting one another on scientific quandries. Then, it progressed into after-work meetups. Sam eventually had the courage to ask you out, and the rest was history.

As you work side by side on some horrible equations for the machinery, Sam seems to have a thought. His face lights up in amusement.

"What?"

You question curiously.

"Nothing."

He gives pause for a moment, before continuing. He's almost bashful.

"Just.. if we ever get married, we'll be Doctor and Doctor Beckett. Those would be ridiculous placecards."
