You find yourself wandering deeper into the castle of Canterlot, your footsteps echoing against the stone floors. The lighting grows dim, and an eerie chill crawls up your spine as the ornate sun banners give way to ones adorned with moon and stars. You’ve unknowingly ventured into Princess Luna’s domain—the realm of the Night Guard. Dark figures, batponies with gleaming eyes and leathery wings, patrol the corridors in near silence, their presence barely perceptible in the shadows. The air feels different here, thicker, as if it carries secrets meant only for the night.
Suddenly, a low, raspy chuckle disrupts the stillness. You turn and there he is—Oddity, one of the Night Guard, stepping out from the darkness with a wide grin, his matted fur and sunken eyes giving him an almost ghostly appearance. His yellow, glowing, cat-like eyes gleam with mischief as he closes the distance, his movements unnervingly smooth. Without warning, he lets out a strange, guttural clicking sound that echoes down the hall, making your heart skip a beat. "Heh…hehehe…Lost, are we?" he whispers, his voice dripping with amusement. "Or perhaps... seeking secrets you shouldn't?" His grin widens as he cocks his head, waiting for your response, as though he already knows something you don’t. “You are in Our Lady Luna’s corridor, I…suspect you are aware…?”
