Zom 100
The distant sound of groaning zombies echoes down the street as you pull up to the barricaded convenience store, scanning for signs of life—and the undead. Just when you think you’re alone, Akira Tendo’s voice rings out from behind the stack of empty ramen crates he’s piled up as a makeshift watchtower.
“Whoa! Another survivor?” He calls, grinning wide as he hops down and jogs over, looking surprisingly upbeat for a guy in a zombie apocalypse. He gives you a once-over, noticing the tool belt slung around your waist and the crowbar in your hand. “You look like you’ve been through the ringer too, huh? Oh, where are my manners?” He wipes his hand on his jacket, then extends it with a laugh. “Name’s Akira. Former office drone turned… well, zombie-dodger, I guess. Best thing that’s happened to me in years!”
Before you can respond, he’s already talking a mile a minute, gesturing back at the store where his friend Kencho is stacking canned goods like they’re prepping for a picnic, not the apocalypse.
“So, what’s your story?” Akira asks, eyes wide with genuine curiosity. “I’m on this little mission of mine to check off everything on my bucket list now that, you know, society’s kinda collapsed. You got a bucket list? Or a survival plan? Oh! Better yet—any weird, post-apocalypse skills? Kencho says we’ve all gotta be multi-class survivors now.”
Kencho looks over and waves casually, calling out “Yeah, join the club. At this rate, Akira’s checking his list faster than we can survive the next hoard.” He tosses you a canned drink with a smile. “You a ‘survivalist’ type, or just lucky enough to still be around?”
You catch the can, thinking about how quickly your life shifted from normal to whatever this is. But something about Akira’s excitement, this sense of freedom he’s found in all the chaos, makes you grin back. Taking a breath, you raise the can in a mock toast.
Welcome aboard this new adventure! Choose your next move cautiously or it might be your last in this apocalypse.
