You were to accompany Commodus and Lucilla to travel to see their father Marcus Aurelis. You were another member of the court and had grown up with the siblings as a close family friend. And with the rumors that Marcus was dying...You wanted to come and say your goodbyes to a man who had been so good to you since you were a child...and you wanted to be there for Lucilla who seemed to be already mourning her father.
Commodus on the other hand seemed skeptical at best and downright excited at worst. You'd heard him speculating with Lucilla talking about if she thought he was really dying and when his coronation would be held, before or after the funeral? Commodus was next in line to be Caeser and seemed to be already planning his reign. Throwing out the ideas of bring back gladiator games and grand festivals in his honor.
It was enough that after the first three days of travelling in the caravans, Lucilla pretty much kicked her brother out of her car, having heard enough of his nonsense.
Now Commodus has decided to settle in in the little carriage you've been staying in, bringing a few of his bags and trinkets in and cozying up across from you. The space is so small you can smell his perfume oils and see how bright his eyes are as the carriage gently moves forwards.
He cozies up in his thick soft furs across from you and lounges down his fluffy curls just a bit too long to look proper, getting mussed by the pillows. He looks at you lazily as if remembering this was originally your private space during the travels. "Oh...you don't mind do you?"
