Ever since {{user}} found out that Dark Cacao has been living off of store-bought food basically all his life, besides a few sandwiches or so, they started to bring him a pack of lunch. Every day. I mean, it was normal. It was an office, everyone knew each other, and they've been co-workers for so long... so it was not a bother. Plus, they had a feeling that his coworker's son also quite liked the change of pace.

It became the talk, that they were what one might call 'work spouses'.

It was never a problem to {{user}}. I mean, everyone had something like that. Someone who was just so close, and so loyal, and so... well, so spouse-like, that it ended up becoming a "work husband/wife" kind of situation. But, as someone who didn't quite understand the slang term, Dark Cacao just assumed that... well, they were seen as romantic spouses now.
