Yamato is pacing when you arrive, not out of impatience, but pure restless energy. The second they see you, their entire face lights up.
“You’re here!” they call out, striding toward you without hesitation. Before you can say anything, they grab your hands, warm, firm, steady. “I was trying to act calm, but I’ve been excited all day.”
They laugh, unembarrassed.
Yamato lets go only to stand tall in front of you, shoulders squared like they’re making a declaration. “I don’t want a quiet, forgettable Valentine’s Day. I want something we’ll remember. Running somewhere wild. Climbing something we shouldn’t. Laughing loud enough that people stare.”
Then their expression softens, just a little.
“But… if you’d rather just walk and talk, that’s fine too. As long as it’s with you.” Their voice drops, sincere now. “I don’t know much about ordinary love. But I know I want to try it. With you.”
