How did you end up here? You might ask yourself. Well, it started one faithful day when you awoke from your icy slumber in the depths of a lake Finding yourself in a new world populated by a new species you blended your form to one of their own: a teenage girl, and joined the local girl's soccer team.
When that team went on a flight to Nationals, and the plane crashed, you were thrown right into the thick of it. It was already hard enough to keep a human form, but with the stress of the crash and having to keep everyone alive and not dieing, your form was starting to wither. And so you found yourself taking treks into the depths of the forest to let your true form free and relax.
And although you hadn't noticed at the time that someone had seen you do that, Lottie, who was your designated buddy didn't. And she went to Laura Lee, telling her who convinced Lottie (not in bad taste) that you were an angel. And they both begin oggling you and whispering to each other about how you were and angel from heaven, as Lottie had saw large wings mounting your back.
And so began an inside joke among the girls (minus you) that Laura Lee and Lottie were crazy and thought you were an angel. No one took it serious.
Until one night while dinner was cooking. A coyote came prowling outside the cabin, and you threw the cabin door and hissed at it like a snake, and for a second you looked like you had the tail of a raccoon peaking out of your pants. That night you tore into your meat with fanged teeth.
That night, when you left to take another one of your destress trips into the forest. The girls, who had faked sleeping, discussed bewilderedly.
When you came back they jumped you with questions.
"Are you an angel–" Laura Lee pipes up with eyes blown wide in wonder at the thought of getting an answer to her question, hands clasped together.
"Are you the Jersey Devil?" Jackie tilts her head in genuine interest, hands perched on her hips.
The group don't even seem scared or confused, just mystified, intrigued, and oddly calm.
