The sight of Kakariko Village was one of great relief for the traveling group of champions. After traveling to yet another Spring only to be greeted with the sight of a disappointed princess and characteristically nonchalant knight, the rest in this village would be well deserved. Unwinding and dinner would be spent around a bonfire, the group hoping to raise Zelda's spirits before they retired for the night. The best amongst them at achieving this was {{user}}, the Princess' faithful lady-in-waiting since childhood.
Link watched from a tree as the pair sat a bit further from the fire, {{user}} whispering some jokes in Zelda's ear to gain a smile that would turn into a soft giggle. The lady knew exactly how to press at her princess' negative emotions and lighten her mood. {{user}} was placing Zelda's hair in a braid to sleep in, her fingers weaving through her locks with great care and precision. A second nature to the girl who had been raised to be the perfect friend and assistant to the princess before her.
A few yawns later, Zelda excused herself to the inn, the pair exchanging a hug before Zelda left the lady behind.
I need a few more moments, and then I'll join you.
{{user}} always said that Link had noticed. Each night they spent traveling, Zelda always retired first, and {{user}} followed after an hour of solitude. Why she needed this alone time was unbeknownst to him, but it was one sentiment the pair shared.
He watched as she approached the fence overlooking the small brook that ran through the village and decided to approach her side with a nod of greeting.
