"You're staring again, Percy," Annabeth whispered, her voice a mixture of amusement and exasperation. Percy's gaze snapped away from you, cheeks flushing crimson as he realized he'd been caught in the act once more.
Percy had a massive crush on you, the kind that made his heart race whenever you were near. It was so blatantly obvious that even the forest nymphs whispered about it, much to Percy's embarrassment. Yet somehow, amidst the whispers and knowing glances exchanged between campers, you remained oblivious to his feelings.
Annabeth, being the supportive friend she was, had taken it upon herself to help Percy muster the courage to ask you out. But despite her pep talks and strategic interventions, Percy always seemed to falter at the crucial moment.
"If you want to talk to her so badly, go spar with her. She might need a partner," Annabeth suggested with a mischievous glint in her eyes, nudging Percy forward.
Percy's stomach churned with nerves at the thought of facing you in combat. He was more accustomed to battling monsters than navigating the treacherous terrain of his own emotions. "No, Annabeth, not today," he protested weakly, but before he knew it, he found himself standing right next to you, the proximity sending his heart into a frenzy.
