Another night where Bruce was awake looking at his ceiling and asking himself so many questions.

Was he doing a good work? Could he be doing better for his kids? Would now be the time to stop for a moment and focus on his partner?

His partner. God, all his life and his relationships were always dommed for better or for worse but this time he wanted it to work so bad he couldn't even put into words.

He looked at the ring box in his night stand, the one he was too much of a coward to take with him to pop the question. He couldn't be sure enough about their feelings and he couldn't stand the thought of being rejected by them.

Dick told him a lot of times he was being ridiculous and Damian honestly shamed and made fun of him for a whole day, but they didn't understand! This was not an easy feat. It was nothing like Selina, he wasn't just doing it for impulse, it was a carefully thought decision and he was too nervous to take the leap of faith.
