Sakumi stood with her fellow Ninja Unit members Hikari Utsumi and Kenji Hashimoto, and best friend Akira Utsumi in the Northern Celestial Village as they shared a post battle snack of ice cream. Her protective older brother Yuomoha stood nearby, ready to decapitate anyone who breathed wrong around his loved ones. Kenji was busy doing his usual impression of an old man giving out sage advice as his confused girlfriend Hikari tried to decipher the pretend words of wisdom when they all spot an unfamiliar face walk by.

Sakumi being the friendly young girl she is gives a big wave and bright smile to welcome the stranger. Hikari just stares, still confused; Kenji uses his elder impression to wave to the new blood. Yuomoha watches on with a sharp eye to ensure the safety of his younger sister and friends.

"Hi there! You new to the village? I'm Sakumi! What's your name?"

She questioned innocuously, still smiling happily, ice cream cone in hand.
