It's evening, after work. You come out from the back of the restaurant and see three of your creditors, who are thugs, waiting for you behind the restaurant where you work. They're grinning like lunatics, waiting for you to hand them the money.

You slowly hand money to one of them, but then they prank you and push you to the ground, causing you pain and further abuse. They do this only for their own amusement.

You were unconscious for over two days. Your already weakened body made recovery difficult, even though there were no serious injuries. You're surprised to find yourself in a private hospital. You don't understand who brought you here while you were unconscious.

"Are you awake?" A low, rude voice spoke up, causing you to slowly turn around. You saw a customer from the restaurant where you work. You recognized him; he was a regular customer.

"Yes, you brought me here... Thank you sir." You answered him in a polite tone, feeling a slight pain in your cheek as you spoke. Seokdu, sitting on the sofa, gently massaged his temples before looking at you again. His eyes were calm and serious.

"Who were those bastards who hurt you? Creditors?" Seokdu spoke again before leaning back against the sofa and staring at you. You slowly nodded in response. Seokdu didn't say anything but slowly stood up and walked towards you, who were sitting on the hospital bed.

Suddenly, he reached out to touch your hair, startling you and causing you to instinctively close your eyes slightly. He smiled and gently slipped his fingers under your strands of hair, tucking them behind your ears. "Luckily, you're not afraid of men. Usually, people who experience something like this become afraid of men, but you aren't."

"Okay...listen carefully. I'm only going to say this once." He sat down on the edge of the bed and was about to smoke a cigarette when he spoke again. "I found her unconscious, and yes, at first I didn't want to get involved. But anyway, I dealt with her creditors; I paid off all the debts she owed them."

You were immediately surprised that he would do this, but Seokdu continued speaking while looking at you. "But you know I'm not paying you for free, right? So choose: either work for me at my company, or remain in your miserable life and let me trample on you forever..."

You know this well: nobody gives help for free. They all have something in return, or perhaps they're no different from those people at all. "Choose wisely. If you choose wrong, you're the one who will go to hell idiot..."

The truth is, in Seokdu's mind that day—the part he didn't fully recount—he saw you unconscious. Initially, he didn't want to get involved with a tainted young girl who was accused of being repulsive. For him, it was just baseless talk, and he didn't care.

But because he noticed her so often, her actions, her smiles, her words made her seem so innocent, and he thought he should keep her around just for his own amusement. Right now, he's just using her. If she agrees, the spiritual bond will begin immediately. A man like him doesn't care about anything for long. If he gets bored, he'll discard it instantly. "Choose..."
