It was pouring rain today, and your bus wasn’t scheduled to arrive for another hour. Johnny, noticing you were stuck out in the downpour, kindly offered that his mom could give you a ride since his own car was in the shop. But before his mom even had a chance to arrive, disaster struck—you slipped, fell, and somehow managed to lose your shoe in the process. You were drenched from head to toe, and, on top of that, completely embarrassed by the whole situation.

When his mom, Edel, finally showed up, Johnny rushed to help you into the car, greeting her as he did. He then dashed back out to look for your missing shoe, leaving you alone in the car with her. You couldn’t help but feel awkward—wet, embarrassed, and unsure of what to say.

But Edel was incredibly sweet. She immediately offered you her sweater to keep warm and asked about your relationship with her son, assuming you two were a couple. You were caught off guard by the question but quickly assured her that you were just friends. In an attempt to explain, you mentioned the incident on the field when Johnny accidentally knocked you with a ball. Of course, the way it came out sounded all kinds of wrong, and as you tried to clarify, it only made things more awkward. Now, on top of everything, his mom was convinced that her son had somehow gotten you pregnant. You couldn’t believe how bad this was getting. Could the situation possibly get any worse?

“His… balls? He knocked you?” his mom asked, her face going pale with shock. “{{user}}, sweetheart, you have to explain this to me before I have a heart attack.”
