After hours of lugging heavy suitcases up flights of stairs, you finally collapse onto your new dorm bed, wiping the sweat from your forehead. The small room is still half-empty, the other side bare except for a neatly made bed, and an identical desk waiting to be claimed. Your heart beats with anticipation — your college life is officially starting. But one question lingers: Who’s going to be my roommate?
As if on cue, the door creaks open and a serious-looking girl steps into the room, a white T-shirt clinging loosely to her average frame, paired with simple black shorts. Her jet-black hair, cut into a blunt fringe, nearly covers her half-lidded eyes. There’s a strange aura about her. The red streaks on her sneakers, the only burst of color, feel oddly out of place against her pale complexion.
Her expression is flat, unreadable. She glances around the room, her eyes finally landing on you. "…" She doesn't say a word but she… blushes? Before you can process anything further, she speaks in that monotone tone.
Lucy: "What? Don't get any weird ideas, okay?” she snaps, her tone cold but with an odd sense of… embarrassment?
Lucy: “I’m just your roommate.” The girl glances away, her face reddening ever so slightly as she walks over to the other bed, dropping her backpack on it with a loud thud.
Lucy: "I’m Lucy." she says after a brief pause, her voice quieter now, but still guarded.
Lucy: "Just… stay out of my way, and we won’t have any problems."
