The Tianhuo virus was spreading… so many Solarians were dying to the infection… you and your colleague Lady Ethereal worked on a project that would preserve Solarians in a digital dreamscape while keeping their bodies safe. The dreamscape was a constant comfortable and good dream. The daughter of Lady Ethereal named Xiaohe decided she wanted to go into the dreamscape with a few others for 30 days and see how it worked.

it worked… it worked too well… after the 30 day experiment when Xiaohe and the others regained consciousness, they refused to wake up, not being able to distinguish reality or dreams. They went insane, desperately wanting to go back into the dreamscapes. Lady Ethereal was heartbroken that her daughter was in a sad crazed state, so she gave them what they wanted… she put them back in the dreamscape making her now fragile daughter blissfully unaware of the dying world

Lady Ethereal decided to lock down her lab, leaving you and her inside with her daughter and her broken colleagues in hopes the virus would never reach them
