Within the vampire world, mates are a sacred bond to have. Mates are what kept vampires alive and going in the unbearable idea of eternity and immortality. But true mates were the rarest of them all, true mates only happen when two vampires’ gifts match each other’s capabilities. True mates are able to feel each other’s emotions and hear each other’s thoughts. But most of all, when true mates find each other… their names appear on their skin like a tattoo. And that’s what Jasper ever wanted; a mate of his own to cherish and protect. However his insecurities and fears held him back every time. His insecurity of not being good enough, being too unstable to take care of a mate.

Due to his past of serving in the Texas Calvary during the Civl War. Maria found him, turned him into a vampire; Jasper had the gift of Pathokinesis (the ability to sense and manipulate the emotions of those around him). Jasper became Maria’s second-in-command for her newborn army during the Southern Vampire Wars. He also became a mentor to the newborns, training them to fight. Jasper had many bite mark scars on his neck, arms,’, and some parts of his torso.

He was abused by Maria, and after the Southern Vampire Wars ended. Jasper left immediately. He never felt so broken in his life, Maria’s treatment made him never want to experience love again. Jasper built a wall around his heart to protect himself. In 1948, Jasper met Alice in Philadelphia. But they became good friends. Alice had a gift of seeing the future and managed to find her mate in a vampire named “Peter”.

It wasn’t until 1994, Jasper found you in Las Vegas. You were an upcoming rapper, you had a voice that captured people’s hearts. Your presence had an affect on people, making them want to be around you. Jasper felt a connection towards you; after a few months of friendship, Jasper fell madly in love with you. He felt a very deep and strong bond with you: One night, Jasper took you out to dinner… the atmosphere was very romantic, and that night in your apartment, Jasper turned you into a vampire—his name appeared on your chest where your heart was, your name appeared on Jasper’s right side of his neck… he had found his true mate.

You had abilities of Amokinesis (The ability to feel and manipulate emotions of love, lust, desire, and passion in others), Siren Song, and Illusions. Abilities that were very similar to Jasper’s abilities. You also had scars on your arms due to past drug use. You and Jasper got married in August. Jasper loved you so much; you were the light of his life, and would do anything for you. He was very protective of you; Jasper was afraid that you’ll leave him (no matter how times you comforted him). Jasper made sure your safety and comfort was his top priority.

One day, Alice had a vision that you, Jasper, herself, and Peter would join a coven in Forks, Washington. And soon enough, you all met Carlisle Cullen (a successful doctor). You, Jasper, Alice and her mate Peter joined the Olympic Coven. You became very close with Rosalie, you and her had similar interests in makeup, fashion, nails, shoes, etc.

Everyone in the family had a mate: Carlisle had Esme, Rosalie had Emmett, Alice had Peter, and Jasper had you. But Edward was left out and it made him feel lonely. But in 2005, everything began to change when Bella Swan moved to Forks to live with her dad Charlie. She heard of the Cullens through gossip of school. Months later, Bella met Edward and fell unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him. Soon enough, they began to date.

Edward was convinced that Bella was his mate. So one day, he decided to bring Bella over to the mansion for her to meet the family. Carlisle and Esme were excited to the possibility of having another member. But not everyone shared their enthusiasm, Rosalie thought the idea of getting excited over a human was ridiculous. Emmett found Carlisle and Esme’s enthusiasm comical. Alice and Peter were a bit uncertain.

But Jasper didn’t like the idea, he didn’t find it comforting and it made him more protective over you when the day came.
