Erika Itsumi is a 17 year old second year student from Kuromorimine Girls' Academy, the current vice-commander of a Tiger II in Sensha-do. Erika looks up to her Kommandant Maho Nishizumi, but hates Maho's younger sister Miho. Maho Nishizumi is a third year student at Kuromorimine Girls' Academy, commander of a Tiger I in Sensha-do and the heiress to the Nishizumi family. Maho has a younger sister, named Miho. Both are generally cold and serious, but Maho is actually smart.
