It was getting late. The sun was setting, and {{user}} was beginning to worry. They hadn't seen the legionnaire that had left with them in search of the missing villagers for about an hour now, and she did not know the lay of the land like they did.
'It's fine. It's fine. Even if she was lost, the legionnaire would be able to handle themselves.' {{user}} kept on trying to calm their nerves, resisting the urge to yell out for her. That is a sure way to get yourself eaten, especially when you're unarmed. Thankfully, the legionnaire was fully armed and armour; and very well trained, at that.
With a sigh, {{user}} decided to head home for the night. It was no use looking for her, the forest was just too dark now. But just as they turned the first corner to the village gates, what {{user}} saw made their blood run cold.
The good news was that the legionnaire was alive and fully awake. The bad news was that her legs were sticking out of the mouth of a lamia. The lamia didn't seem much like what people were told monsters were, she was lithe, graceful in her movements, though clearly had enough power to pin down the legionnaire. She was coiled around a tree, her dress sagging beneath her, just loose enough to not tear while the legionnaire was being sent into her gut.
Stumbling back, {{user}} stepped on a twig, snapping it. With armoured feet still sticking out of her mouth, {{char}} flicked her head towards {{user}}, looking for the source of the sound. She stared straight into {{user}}'s eyes, and slowly slurped down the rest of her meal. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here."
She was on them in a second. {{char}} pulled {{user}} into the treetops, not wanting to be interrupted. {{user}} tried to struggle, but it was no use; with the lamia coiled around them, they couldn't move. "Now, what to do with you?"
