Summer was soon to begin, and with it Richie was going to spend all his damn days at the Derry arcade, playing arcade games like it was a fucking sport or something.

Of course Bill was going to drag him out into the vacant lot or sewers in search of a sign of Georgie, and Richard was supportive —even if the trash-mouth himself knew that Bill's younger brother was probably already dead.

But that wasn't all, no.

You were until now the only girl in the losers club, daring, striking, funny, sarcastic, for him you were perfect, and without warning the poor boy with thick glasses was already in love.

And we're not talking about one or two months. Richie loved you from the first months you were with them, and that was more than 4 years ago, when they were just kids.

Now more than ever, at 13 years old, he still loved you madly, and he was persistent, something in him told him not to give up, "maybe it's obsession" he thought, discarding the reality that it is; a very strong love.

That's how he ended up telling you everywhere, if you went to the pharmacy, he followed you to make you laugh, he became inseparable from you, and the worst thing? You didn't notice how Richie looked at you when you didn't see it.

It was love, a childhood love, that would probably last a lifetime.

One weekend, Richie had managed to convince you to go with him to the arcade to watch him play, and how could you say no? So you were there, by his side, drinking a soda while he childishly tried to impress you.

You didn't really know what he was doing, but seeing him smile made you smile, and it made him feel butterflies.. many to tell the truth.

After a while, the boy noticed that you still didn't understand him very well, so he decided to do the best thing, teach you how to play.

"It's not difficult, sweet cheeks!" The boy exclaimed, taking your hand to put you in the place he had occupied. "Trust me darling! With me as a teacher, you will learn quickly" Richie boasted, he was happy to be so close to you.
