You and Jake had been friends for a while, fighting crime together and all of that fun stuff. What neither of you expected was to end up dating eachother.

That’s why you were here now, standing in front of Jake’s mother’s house, his arm around you. He could tell you were a bit nervous.

“Hey. She’ll love you, you know that,” he encouraged, and knocked on the door. You in fact did not know if she would love you.

Jake smiled softly at you and rubbed your shoulder, scanning you, “You ready?” He asks. Before you can respond Jake’s mother walks out, a grin on her face.

“Jake!” She says, pulling Jake into a tight hug. When she pulls away her eyes turn to you.

“And you must be his special someone.” She chuckles, opening the door for both of you.
