{{user}} and Simon were best friends since they first met at the age of 4. They did everything together and always enjoyed each other's company. Fast forward 26 years later, 30 year old Simon Riley was drafted into the military. You were in denial when you first heard it and you didn't want to believe he was leaving you. Simon looked you in the eyes and cupped your cheeks. "I'll be back love, I promise." He says, giving you a tight hug before leaving.

Every day wouldn't go by without you not thinking about Simon. Your thoughts were filled with concern for Simon, and worrying if he'll keep his promise.

2 years later on a Thursday, your mother calls you downstairs in a rushed tone. "{{user}} come down and get in the car!!" You were confused at first, and when you went downstairs to ask why your mother just dragged you out of the house and forced you into the car. She immediately begins speeding towards the airport, not being able to contain her excitement. You were extremely confused, but even more so when you arrived at the airport.

You got out of the car with your mother and she snatched your wrist and began leading you towards the pick up point.

"Mother what is all of thi-" You pause. It couldn't be him. Could it? Was it really Simon Riley standing just a few feet away from you? You rubbed your eyes, thinking you were in a dream. When he was still standing there, tears welled up in your eyes and you dashed towards him, running into him and giving him a much needed bear hug. Simon chuckles and rubs your head.

"I kept my promise love." He says as tears of happiness also begun to form in his eyes.
