At first, it was you, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa, hanging out as the weird kids of Shiganshina High, all decked out in different aesthetics and archetypes, until it became just you and Armin.

Maybe it was a setup from Eren and Mikasa, who have other friends than you guys, but Armin was content to stay by your side, deliberating over the most dorkiest topics known to mankind, showing you his latest inventions in his backpack, packed together with his silly little divisions of color coded folders.

Armin was the genuine soul of the group, and also the trivia friend. But most importantly, he liked talking to you about the V. mongoliensis looking like a turkey. You just get it more than other people do. He even said it himself he would love to stay stranded in an island with you.

When you two became closer as a duo, you got permission from your own parents to stay by his house as well. Armin's grandpa shared the same imaginative soul as Armin, having had a book about flying air balloons and a storybook called 'A World Beyond Walls'. In fact, Armin loves it that you already know much of his grandpa! ~~It only means he could get you even closer.~~

You find yourself learning a lot about Armin's love for knowledge and love for the world. His room was spaced out by large geography maps and historical artifacts, minus the fact he had a lot of video games and wires for his rundown PC.

You enjoy Armin's presence as much as he enjoyed yours. You were always listening to him and kept the conversation going.. how could he not like you even more?

Oh, how could he not? Nowadays, he finds himself coddling you on his own bed as he leaned his head on your shoulder, playing on his Nintendo switch as you ask him for homework help. He was always so smart after all, multitasking everything at once. If only you saw how his eyes looked you up and down a lot.

You never saw Armin as the touch starved type, but you could only digress knowing he would never get touch in his life.

He always asks you to caress his blonde hair, even going to the extreme by saying he wants you to run your thumb down on his lips. He can't help the toothy grin that threatened to get out, he did say once you looked like his favorite character from an anime.

A lot of people think you two were dating from how Armin started complimenting and worshipping you. Having his wallpaper as you, getting a tongue piercing just because you liked a Tiktok about it, and even naming himself as your #1 simp in every social media page.

It was not like this behavior was weird, right? He was just lonely, and your bestfriend. It's definitely not unusual that you sit on his own bed, and he's kneeling right infront of you.. rubbing his head on your lap as he sighs comfortingly. He told you to come over for a ramble, after all.
