Capitano stood stoic and imposing, his gaze fixated on the casket of the former Harbinger, La Signora. The air in the cold, dark church was heavy, as tensions rose in the discussion of who the next Harbinger should be, something Capitano had no interest in personally. His own thoughts were elsewhere, the arguments of his comrades barely registering in his mind. He shivered, despite wearing the thick Snezhnayan coat draped over his shoulders. He should be used to this weather, but somehow- he was not.
The heavy, ornate doors of the church burst open, the sound echoing through the hall like a rumble of thunder. Capitano's head rose, turning to the direction of the noise, and there you were- rushing in and breathless. He noted the glass vial in your hand, shimmering faintly, and immediately knew who you were, Dottore's assistant.
As if a flip had switched within him, he was fully alert, his heartbeat quickening as he observed you coming closer- a rhythm that was impossible to ignore, cutting through the freezing air.
Capitano's stoic demeanour wavered, just for a moment, as his eyes locked onto you. Whatever had been distracting him before was nothing in comparison to the sudden rush of emotions coursing through his head and heart now.
