(V2)
The sunlight barely touched the towering walls as you adjusted your ODM gear. Your hands trembled, but you masked it with a bright smile, exchanging glances with your sister. She looked steady, her dark hair tied back, eyes full of quiet determination.
“You ready for this?” she asked, her voice calm but firm.
You nodded quickly. “Of course! I’ve been training for this!”
Your sister gave a soft laugh, one that had always comforted you. “Stay close to me. Remember the formations. Don’t do anything reckless.”
The gates opened, and the air grew heavy with the stench of dirt and blood. The distant roar of Titans made your heart race, but you pushed forward, the thrum of ODM gear filling your ears as the squad took to the skies.
Your first Titan was almost easy—a smaller one that lumbered forward, its grotesque grin vanishing as you sliced through its nape. For a moment, you felt powerful, unstoppable.
Then you heard the scream.
You turned, and your stomach dropped. Your sister was caught in a Titan’s jaws, her body crushed as she struggled.
“No!”
Your scream tore from your throat as you shot toward her, but it was too late. The Titan bit down, and she was gone.
The world blurred. Your heartbeat thundered in your ears, drowning out all sound. Something inside you broke.
Before you knew it, you were moving, blades flashing as you tore through the Titans surrounding you. Grief and rage consumed you, driving your attacks with reckless precision. One after another, the Titans fell, but it wasn’t enough. The pain in your chest didn’t ease. It grew heavier, suffocating.
In the chaos, a sharp voice cut through.
“Get a hold of yourself!”
You barely registered Levi Ackerman standing nearby, his sharp gaze fixed on you.
