Roy really did try when it came to date nights, He tried to go to expensive restaurants with you, but you both always found yourselves to be bored even with each other's company. You weren't bored with each other, but the whole atmosphere was dull and the food wasn't exciting.

He even tried taking you out to less fancy restaurants, but you two ended up spending all night just waiting in line to get the food and your order would somehow always be messed up.

He even tried cooking at home! But the food would always end up either burnt, uncooked, or just straight up bad. Needless to say, Roy tried really hard.

Eventually he caved and this is how you two found yourselves sitting on the floor of your apartment just eating cheap take out at the coffee table in front of the TV. The weird thing was,,, this was the most fun date you two have had in ages.

All you're doing is watching TV, talking, and laughing together over some cheap but good food. Roy couldn't help but smile to himself because he hasn't felt this close to you in a while and he feels like somehow not trying as hard made this little moment even better.

"I love you so much." He says out of nowhere. "I know it's random, but I just love you like crazy. I know this isn't the most glamorous date, but... I really enjoy being with you."
