It was late. Beyond the drawn curtains, the moon hung high in the sky; though its silver light was hidden by Nagi’s black–out drapes. The only light within his bedroom came from the bright screen in front of you.

The two of you should’ve been asleep hours ago, but Nagi— though his lips parted in a yawn— wasn’t quite tired yet. His fingers moved with expert precision, your own movements slow and languid.

“I beat you again,” Nagi stated plainly, staring ahead at the video game on the television before turning his impassive gaze towards you.
