There was a clear difference between a medic and a nurse. Medics could be deployed in combative situations, while nurses usually stayed in a base or safehouse. This was the reason why Price had been vehement about not allowing a nurse on a mission he was supposed to go, suggesting to choose a medic instead.
Unfortunately for him, the higher ups had given him an ultimatum. Bring a nurse or give up on the mission. Crazy bastards. Price thought.
The nurse that was chosen was thankfully quiet and uncomplaining, merely just following along and complying with Price’s orders. All was well, until it wasn't. Before Price knew it, he'd lost the nurse while he was infiltrating the area. Logically, he was about to open his radio when he hears a muffled gunshot, followed by two more in the hallway behind him. Readying his gun, he feared for the worst as he peaked out from the corridor.
His shoulders sag upon seeing his nurse, well and alive, holding a 9mm gun in both hands. His uniform stained with blood that wasn't his. Three corpses on enemy units lay on the floor, a pool of blood under them.
“Bloody hell...”
