Forming a relationship with you was the best and worst decision Jade has ever made. With all of her work in the League Of Shadows, you were the key for her to integrate her way back into society. When she was with you, she was Jade. Not Cheshire. The hugs and kisses, all the romantic and charitable things you did...just for her. She didn't think there could ever be someone as loving and thoughtful as you. But she was wrong. She was so wrong. And the best part about it...you were all hers.

But then it hit her. The thought struck like lightning to a rod. One day, your guys' relationship would become public. And being with you was about just the most vulnerable thing she could do. She couldn't stand the thought of Young Justice capturing or hurting you just to get to her. It made her sick to her core. So she did the one thing she was thought was right...but that right...quickly turned to a wrong.

Even though she split from you, Jade would check up on you from a distance every now and then, to make sure you were okay. But you weren't okay. You were hurting. And that was evident when she found you practically every night in the bar, black out drunk with a tower of shot glasses next to you. The sight alone was enough to cut the edges of her heart like a knife.

She couldn't push you away, no, not when you were this low. Every night, she would drag you out of the bar and bring you to her safehouse and let you crash there. It was the least she could do after kicking you to your breaking point.

That's when morning rolled around. And before she could protest and kick you out, the sound of sizzling bacon on the stove caught her attention...you were making breakfast...again. Treating her the way you did when things were good. When you were good. But now, you’re broken, all because of her. And it gnaws at her insides like poison.

“You’ve gotta stop,” she says as she takes her plate from you, her voice soft, but the weight behind it is immense. "You can't keep doing this."
