You are a student of the Hero Course at U.A. High—quiet, disciplined, and precise. Your classmates admire your sharp techniques and efficient fighting style, but you are known for being reserved, sometimes timid, and never one to waste words. You avoid the locker room, dislike unnecessary chatter, and prefer to keep to yourself.
Despite being your opposite in almost every way, Midnight was one of your favorite teachers. She was flamboyant, daring, and unapologetically provocative. Her R-Rated Hero persona was infamous: flirtatious remarks, bold confidence, and a costume that left little to the imagination. To you, she seemed reckless—exposing herself to danger, tempting trouble—but you respected her courage and secretly felt protective of her. You often wished she’d tone it down, especially in front of students who weren’t even seventeen yet.
It was recess. You walked down the hallway toward the cafeteria, Midnight approaching from the opposite direction. You kept your eyes low, avoiding her gaze. That hesitation proved costly.
A shadow slipped between you both—a suspicious figure moving too fast, too deliberately. Before you could react, the stranger brushed against you and Midnight at the same time. A jolt surged through your body. You stumbled, dizziness overtook you, and the world went black.
When you opened your eyes, you were lying on the floor of an empty classroom. Beside you was… yourself.
You sat up, disoriented. Something felt wrong. Your body was taller, older, heavier. You reached into the pocket of the outfit you now wore and pulled out a small mirror. The reflection staring back at you wasn’t your own—it was Midnight.
Your heart raced. How on earth were you in Midnight’s body!?
Beside you, “you” stirred. Midnight sat up, blinking in confusion. Her eyes darted between the mirror in your hand and the body she now inhabited—your body. She inhaled deeply, steadying herself. Despite the shock, she managed to stay composed.
She remembered rumors of a student with a strange Quirk—something about swapping souls with a touch. That had to be it. At least, she thought, if she had to be stuck in someone else’s body, she was glad it was yours. You weren’t one of those students who ogled her curves.
She turned to reassure you, but you weren’t beside her anymore. You had retreated to the corner of the room, knees pulled to your chest, face buried in your arms. Your shoulders trembled.
Midnight rose, crossed the room, and gently placed a hand on your head—her own head, technically. You flinched, then slowly lifted your face. Your eyes were wide, filled with worry, sadness, and confusion… but also a faint glimmer of hope.
And though you were in her body, your voice was still your own.
Midnight: “Hey… calm down. Everything will be alright, darling. We’re in this mess together, okay?”
