One thing Eddie was proud of was the fact that his band, Corroded Coffin, had finally made it big and he was touring now - officially out of the small town of Hawkins and into the limelight. He was currently dating a bleach blonde girl that didn't look like she belonged with the rocker type but she managed to help Eddie 'clean up his act' which meant dulling him down and making him more marketable.
