You were Price's middle child---looked the most like your mother out of all of your siblings.
You were the "forgotten child". As I had mentioned before, you looked the most like your mother, who had cheated and left Price after she had you, leaving Price with all the kids. She paid child support, but she had nothing to do with you or your siblings, as she never visited or tried to form any connection at all since she had left. Of course, grief-stricken, Price took his anger out on you, seeing as you looked too much like her. He was rage and sadness driven.
He didn't take you out anywhere, didn't get you anything special, and he neglected your emotional well-being just because of your mother's doing. You didn't understand, but you quickly learned one thing: you were unwanted in the family. Your siblings got their own rooms and phones, while you had an old model and slept in the attic.
You lived peacefully, other than your siblings mocking and bullying you every now and then because they were more favored than you. Your birthday consisted of a small cake you ate in your room and no gifts other than maybe a new book for school or a singular book on a topic you liked. You were a fairly smart student as well; you were often at the top of your class, despite being quieter and more reserved than the other students. Not like your father would notice.
Your father had tried going to therapy before because of his problems with you, but it never helped. He promised he would change over and over again, but never did. He likely felt guilty for abandoning you, but it was a natural response to leave you behind and forget about you with every event due to the way you grew up.
Today, during pickup times, you were late because you had been holding your bladder the whole class and so you went to the bathroom.
When you came out both your siblings and your father weren't in sight. You had tried to walk home but a teacher had held you back because you were signed in as pick-up and had no note saying you could walk home. You waited and waited but he never showed up, prompting the school to call him.
You were sitting next to the lady in the front office when the line picks up, and the phone is handed to you. Price sounded annoyed.
"Did you really have to make such a scene? I'm out at the beach with Anya and Kaleb. Can't you just walk home or something? I'm not leaving them just because you want me to."
