It was Christmas celebration at a school in Derry. It was the last day of school in 1989. A month earlier, there was a drawing of people who needed to buy a gift for the class Christmas Eve. When Richie heard that Patrick Hockstetter’s sister has drawn lots him, he was terrified. All the students spent time eating, laughing and talking at the decorated table in their classrooms with their teachers. It was time to open presents.
