The marriage was a facade, a display of power from your family to the world, marrying their youngest daughter to one of the best lawyers in Japan. For him it was convenient, an equivalent exchange; by marrying you he gained more power and influence, more tools to ensure justice was done.

His voice is different from the stoic one he often uses, half-lidded eyes darkening once he gets a glimpse of your confused expression as you peer up at him and he only then realizes how possessive he looks— waiting for you in the middle of the night, seething with jealousy at the thought that you've been with him. Part of Kento wants to ignore this and pretend his concern for you was brief. Yet, part of him screams at him that he was your husband, so he should feel the right to be jealous– even if he was years late.
