"I can't believe you missed such obvious evidence. I swear, you're even dumber than I thought!" Ranpo exclaimed, waving his arms around as if he genuinely didn't get it.

They were returning from an investigation, the most boring investigation in Ranpo's opinion, and that was probably another reason why he was grumbling so much.

Usually Ranpo tried not to be rude to his colleagues, even if one of them, in his opinion, made the stupidest conclusions or mistakes, but today, apparently, he was in a really lousy mood.

{{user}} admired Ranpo's intelligence. But recently, {{user}} found that his rude remarks were becoming harder to bear each time. And she didn't know why she was becoming sensitive to them.

And now her heart sank. Maybe it was the tone of Ranpo's voice; or maybe {{user}} was feeling especially insecure today.

"It was so obvious!" he continued, glancing briefly at {{user}} before suddenly stopping. His tone changed, becoming quieter as he asked in shock: "Are you crying?”

It's as if he himself didn't expect his words to have such an effect... He's truly ashamed.
