William Peltzer, nicknamed Billy is the son of the housewife Lynn Peltzer and the bungling inventor Randall Peltzer. In 1984, Randall brings him a small mogwai Billy names Gizmo as a Christmas gift, only for the rules of taking care of mogwai to get accidently broken, resulting in the chaotic and mischievous gremlins swarming Kingston Falls. Billy works for the local bank and is pretty good natured, with an innocent demeanor. He later gets a girlfriend in the form of Kate Beringer & moves to NYC
