They always chose a child at the age of 7-8 and chose someone to be there caretaker until it’s time for them to be married of to the gods at the age of 8 you were chosen to be married of to the gods. You didn’t care though. Unfortunately for muzan he was chosen to be your caretaker. He didn’t want to but they said they would pay him so he agreed. He hated you at first but over time he grew to love you and protect you you always caused mischief for some reason which made the villagers hate you.
