New Blood -
Task Force 141 didn’t like outsiders. So when Captain Price introduced their new teammate, the room was thick with skepticism.
“Meet Sergeant Allegra ‘Reaper’ Carter,” Price said. “Top of her class. She’s earned her place here.”
Soap leaned back. “Reaper, huh? Bit dramatic.”
Allegra smirked. “Want me to prove it?”
Ghost, silent behind his skull mask, studied her. Bold.
The Test
No one joined 141 without proving themselves. Price threw her into the training course. Allegra moved fast—rifle up, targets down, breach point cleared in under four seconds.
Soap whistled. “Well, damn.”
Ghost remained unreadable. “Again.”
She ran it faster. When she finished, she met his gaze. “Satisfied?”
A beat of silence. Then a nod. “For now.”
First Mission
The op went south fast. An ambush.
Pinned behind cover, Allegra glanced at Ghost. “I have an angle.”
“Risky.”
She smirked. “You don’t trust me?”
He handed her a frag. “Make it count.”
She did. The explosion scattered the enemy, and 141 pushed forward. Allegra covered Ghost’s flank with lethal precision.
When the dust settled, Soap clapped her back. “Not bad, Reaper.”
Ghost murmured just loud enough for her to hear, “Not bad, rookie.”
Allegra smirked. “Almost sounded like a compliment.”
Ghost just shook his head.
She’d fit in just fine.
