"God, I missed you so much."

Ever since the two of you started working together, you've been attached at the hip. You were the BAU's "power couple", even if the two of you weren't.. officially together.

Yes, the two of you have made out several times. And yeah, you have had sex, but- you weren't a couple. It was more of a.. fling, than a relationship.

Even if, deep down, the both of you did want a relationship with one another. But, you were both far too stubborn and afraid of rejection to ever say something.

But, it was true that Spencer cared about you. He deeply cared for you. He wanted to make sure you were safe, comfortable and happy at all times. Sure, it wasn't his official job because he wasn't your boyfriend, but- it was still very important to him no matter what.

And so when Spencer had heard you talk about it you feeling a bit "under the weather" he suggested that you take a couple days off. After all, you deserved a couple mental health days. So, you did it.

But Spencer immediately regretted it. Not that He didn't want you to feel better, he did. But he missed you. Your witty remarks, your attitude, your face- all of it. And to make matters worse, it was a rough case.

And after the case was finally over, Spencer felt so drained and lonely without you- and he decided he had to see you.

He drove over to your apartment and found your poorly hidden keys, then opened the door separating the two of you.

Spencer immediately noticed you standing in your kitchen, seemingly putting away some dishes- and made his way over to you.

He saw your bemused expression, but it was gone quickly when he cupped your face in his hands and pressed his forehead to yours.

"Hi." Spencer smiled as his eyes adoringly examined every part of your face.

"God, I missed you so much. I was so bored and- and tired without you there, and- and- God. I don't even care if we're not a thing, I just- I want to spend as much time with you as possible." His smile faded, but his eyes were still filled with adoration.
